In those days, the most important match was the Honinbo title match. On August 4th, the 3rd Honinbo title match was underway. So, this game was well known as the famous “Atomic Bomb Game”.
Before the match, US spy planes were flying unceasingly over the city. The police chief of Hiroshima had a foreboding that something would happen. He insisted that the go players must not play in the city. But the players were persistent…

Great commentary and wonderful games! Definately worth buying!
I looked at the three stone handicap game of Huang Longshi and I wanted to search for more games of him (especially the other 9 games of the ‘chapter of blood and tears’, but I can’t seem to find them. Do you know where I could find them?
Please continue making these excellent videos!

FYI, the Atomic Bomb Game was a NO KOMI game. Anyway, the komi of 5.5 (instead of 4.5) was introduced about 10 years after this game.

For the direct download, I notice “you must have a Windows PC to run the self-extracting file.” Almost always, if it’s just a zip file that has been made self-extracting, Wine will work for Linux or Mac to run it.
But is it necessary? Can you just send the zip file itself and then not have to limit your potential audience this way? In the West, many go players are computer professionals, and a large minority (I, for one) don’t actually have Windows computers, preferring Linux or Mac.

The self-extracting exe is already compatible with Linux (the default archiver in Ubuntu is able to extract it no problem, as if it was just another zip file (at least it worked that way for me))

Do you have sample screenshots to show the quality of your DVD?

The screenshots above are captured from the DVD.
The quality is better than the online video. The resolution is 720×576(online video is 640×480), and the bit rate is higher.
