This game is simply astonishing! Basically every move was brilliant, both players did some amazing thinking…

I would also love to watch more ancient Weiqi masters’ games. As ancient Weiqi opening was constrained, it surely always lead to passionate battles, which make them pretty much in fashion with the current trends in “korean style” (being the ancient Sunjang Baduk constrained as well).

Finding a balance between ancient masterpieces like this one and modern games like Luo Xi He will make your insightful but easy-to-follow comments so much valuable to everyone.

The great Chinese masters of the past, (Huang Longshi, Fan Xiping, Shi Dingan and many others) have a lot to teach us in the 21st century. I am so glad a professional like yourself has put this commentary online. I can only hope other Go players get “hooked” on the old Chinese games, as they really teach you about fighting and strategy.

Amazing game! The attack on the two-space extension on the left hand side was so severe. I want to try out some of those moves in my games.

I think for contrast it might be interesting to do a really modern game next, perhaps something from the last year between current top players. Something that shows off new ideas in joseki or fuseki.
