10 Minute Go 05

Posted in 10 Minute Go, Free Videos on Feb 24, 2010

I promised I would update my videos every month, but I have broke my promise. I’m sorry.
In these days, I moved and decorated my house. So, please forgive me. Now I’m back. This video is pre-recorded, and the new videos will be coming soon.

Thank you for updating your videos! You shouldn’t be sorry about breaking your promise; giving us commentaries was a gift to us, not an obligation.

Great videos so far ! I’ve seen all the previous one in Korea, but I moved to Beijing, and as they are on youtube, I can’t access them easily. Will you put them available for download like the 3 first videos ?

BTW are you from 北京 ? Do you know any good place to play 围棋 around 五道口 area ? I found a great place (天地间 near 磁器口 station) but it’s a little bit far away.

OK I will provide the download links for you.

I’m not living in Beijing right now. You can go to Haidian Qiyuan (海淀棋院) to play go. It’s not far from you. Take bus #963 and get off at “Haidian Bridge East” (海淀桥东站), you would almost get there.

Thanks a lot, I just went there, the place is good. They also have a shop that sell gobans and stones and the prices look honest.

I haven’t watched this one yet, I’m only on episode 3, but I can tell from the first two videos that you work hard on these. Thank you very much for these videos. I even got the second problem right! It’s very helpful and enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the video. Could we have some lectures about the mid game. I didn’t find many books about mid game that is both good and easy to understand.

Looking forward to your next video.

    Great vid! 😉
just one Q: (about the problem at the beginning) how does b continue if w plays one space left of a?

    countsheep Reply:

B could tenuki or still invade H17. The exchange (b’s contact and w’s descent) is already good for b. And, relative to the the answer B, w’s corner is not solid enough, for instance, b has a probe at C14. So w should better respond at point B.
